In May 2015 the Friends of ESNCM UK will send Aglaia Tarantino, pianist, to the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music to coach and accompany students during their exams. Aglaia worked as a piano accompanist at the ESNCM last year and is looking forward to returning back to Palestine and to working again with the students and teachers of the ESNCM.

The pianist Aglaia Tarantino is much in demand in her native Milan and in London where she now lives. As a soloist she has played with several orchestras in Italy, including the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra , G.B.Sammartini Orchestra and Piccola Sinfonica in Milan. In addition to solo recitals Aglaia has performed as a guest artist with contemporary ensembles all over Europe giving many premières. Chamber performances have taken her to many important festivals in Italy, elsewhere in Europe and also as far as Japan and Egypt. She is a regular duo partner with flautist Andrea Manco and viola player Paul Silverthorne performing in Italy and the UK.

As an accompanist Aglaia works regularly at the Royal Academy of Music in London, including collaborations with visitor professors such as Maxim Vengerov, Garth Knox, Colin Carr, Hartmut Rohde, Nobuko Imai, and William Bennett.

She has been invited as pianist and piano teacher for masterclasses in Central School of Speech and Drama of the University of London , Accademia ‘Associazione Musicale Preziosi’ in Turin , Conservatorio G.Verdi in Milan, Conservatorio G.Verdi in Como, AIMS Solsona (Spain) ,IMFL summer courses in Taunton (UK), Teatro Politeama in Catanzaro (Italy).
