Welcome to Marc Kawwas

We are delighted that Marc Kawwas will soon be arriving from Bethlehem to take up his place at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester.

A gifted pianist - Marc is our youngest ever scholar and the first to attend Chetham's. The Hana Jabsheh Music Scholarship will help support his musical education in the UK, alongside his scholarship from Chetham's.

Watch his graduation video from the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music. The music from Marc's recital at ESNCM is : 32 Variations in C minor - Beethoven; Prelude and Fugue in d minor BWV 851 - Bach; Ballade No. 3 Op. 47 - Chopin; Sonata for Violoncello and Piano - Debussy

Help us to continue our work for
Palestinian musicians and communities

We know you are as inspired as we are by the young students - like Marc - and their teachers at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM). From long distance learning initiatives, to  masterclasses, to supporting music scholars, their dedication to music and enriching the lives of Palestinian communities is truly remarkable.

PalMusic UK provides crucial support for young Palestinian musicians and helps fund the work of the Conservatory. We can only do this with your support, so thank you.

However, the funding we have raised so far this year falls short of our ambitions. After a terrible few months - in Gaza and beyond - we want to help restart the community education programme, which contributes to our shared vision of having a lively and creative musical culture in every Palestinian home. Your donation now will help get a new project in Bethlehem’s Al-Dheisheh Refugee Camp off the ground. This is a model of community music education that will serve not only Palestinian, but Arab refugee communities around the world.
