ESNCM SUMMER PROGRAMMES AND ARTS CAMPS 2024

Hundreds of children have taken part in the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music’s summer programmes and art camps run by the Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jerusalem branches. The inspiring summer programme has included intensive instrumental lessons and specialist workshops, whilst the arts camps provided children and young people with the opportunity to come together in various locations around the three cities for music and wider arts activities.

Arts Camps by Branch

Jerusalem: organised in cooperation with Yabous Cultural Center and the YWCA-Jerusalem, where more than 150 children took part.  Musical activities included an introduction to different instruments, choir and percussion, alongside other artistic and cultural activities.

Bethlehem:  organised in cooperation with the Holy Land Trust and panlingual organisations for children aged 7 – 13 years old.  Alongside music, activities provided included drama, photography, art works, languages and field trips.

Ramallah: the camp took place at the branch, for children aged 5-10 years old. In addition, the Ramallah branch provided music activities for other camps around the city such as the one organised by the Sareyyet Ramallah Community-Based Organisation, and others held in surrounding villages to include Aboud and Birzeit. In total, around 200 children and young people participated in music activities over the summer.
