We’re delighted to share that Sal Sherratt became the new Director of PalMusic UK on the 2
October 2023.
Sal is a passionate musician and has a long career history as a senior leader in arts and
culture, including more than 6 years working in music education in the UK. She brings a
breadth of experience to the role, including an outstanding track record in fundraising.
‘It is a privilege to become the Director of PalMusic UK. The charity has made a meaningful
difference to Palestinian children and young people through music, and furthered cultural
exchange with Palestine, for more than a decade. My vision as Director, is to build on these
strong foundations, and significantly increase the impact of the charity, raising more funds
than ever before to support students at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music. In
these dark times, music is more valuable than ever for children and young people – offering
them a beacon of light and hope, providing some continuity in their traumatic lives and giving
them a means to express their emotions. I hope that our friends and supporters, will come
with me on PalMusic’s journey as we step forward into a new decade of making a
